I was in middle of my career change, so I thought I wouldn’t cope with resume writing on my own. A company with long history and wide range of career services seemed an attractive choice for me.

Price Policy

When I started to look up for the prices, I noted that the site’s layout wasn’t very good; moreover, some links didn’t work. Their CV price depends on the annual salary of the applicant. If your annual salary is between 20.000 and 30.000GBP, then the price for resume is 95GBP; for those who earn over 100000GBP a year the CV would cost 275GBP. Cover letter’s price is 40GBP, and the interview coaching is 80-149GBP. Well, their prices seemed quite affordable.

Details of order

There wasn’t a registration form on the site – so I called them to discuss the final quote and the process. They asked me to send my resume and name of the position I was going to apply for, and as soon as I did, they sent me a payment link. To get my CV and cover letter written, I paid 170GBP. We also scheduled a Skype consultation for the next day. I found the consultation quite helpful as the writer asked me about my career plans and ensured that I got what it takes to make a career change successfully. The writer seemed a positive person for me, thought the questions she asked seemed a bit generic.

Quality of writing and support

I was promised to get a finalized package in three business days. After the face-to-face consultation, I didn’t hear from my writer up until the moment of delivery. The site provides phone and email support, but the phone wasn’t 24/7 – when I occasionally dialed their number late in the evening, no one answered my call.

Conclusion

I wasn’t very happy with the CV I got. While the cover letter explained that I got the needed skills and knowledge to start career in HR management, the CV wasn’t so self-explanatory. It simply summarized all my career background and skills. I asked the writer for improvements, but it was obvious that the writer never dealt with career change resume.
